Send a message and Companion sets up your own persistent computer. Connect your Codex account using the secure sign-in link in the conversation. Then text what you need. Your account’s model access and usage limits apply.
What about passwords and payments?
Connect a dedicated 1Password vault through a secure link, never by texting passwords. Link can handle supported payments after you approve the specific purchase. Availability depends on your accounts and region.
How private is it?
Your VM, browser, and credentials are separate from every other user’s. Phone numbers and queued messages are encrypted in our database. Sendblue, OpenAI, and the infrastructure providers process data to deliver the service; this is not end-to-end encryption against those providers. Only connect accounts you want Companion to use.
